Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Coordinator to join the firm's downtown Chicago office. As a vital member of the HR department, this position is responsible for providing assistance with the day-to-day human resources functions and duties, which includes responsibilities with the firm's HRIS, employee relations and engagement, benefits, recruitment and payroll.

As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will:

  • Maintain employee files and I-9 file management
  • Assist HR Manager with recruitment, including posting open positions internally, as well as externally on social media and other platforms; monitor Careers mailbox and review resumes; maintain filing system that retains qualified applications for one year; and scheduling interviews for the hiring manager and Human Resources
  • Prepare internal and external correspondence, including employee communications, offer letters, etc.
  • Manage the firm's MCLE tracking system and attorney compliance, as well as submissions for CLE and HR credits
  • Reconcile and process semi-monthly timesheets in ADP WorkforceNow system
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices
  • Collaborate on the development, planning and execution of firm events
  • Assist with annual open enrollment process and ongoing wellness initiatives
  • Provide support for the annual evaluation process, including updating the performance management system, assembling performance reviews and scheduling performance review meetings
  • Maintain the ADP portal and the Intranet (HR department page, phone directory, bulletin news, etc.)
  • Filing, photocopying and report production
  • Perform special projects as assigned

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ADP WorkforceNow experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to exercise discretion, initiative and exhibit a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Solid database management and recordkeeping skills
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be a team player
  • Works well with minimal supervision

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or business
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
