Masuda Funai is pleased to announce that Kathleen Gaber, Chair of the Immigration Practice Group, has been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF).

Ms. Gaber is a frequent speaker on immigration issues for clients and organizations. She has been quoted in print and on air for National Public Radio. For more than 13 years, Ms. Gaber has also been assisting the world renown Joffrey Ballet to bring ballet dancers, ballet masters, choreographers, repetiteurs, lighting designers, costume designers, musicians and other supporting staff to the United States to assist them with the Joffrey’s productions.

She is an exemplary attorney and, with more than three decades of legal expertise, she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her clients’ objectives are realized," said Thomas McMenamin, President of Masuda Funai.

Established in 1955, the American Bar Foundation Fellows is a global honorary organization that recognizes attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities. Membership in the Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Ms. Gaber was nominated by her peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.

Ms. Gaber received her J.D. from Emory University and a B.B.A. and B.A. from the University of Michigan with recognition as an Evans Scholar.
