Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. welcomes Koichiro Sato as a Visiting Foreign Attorney in its Chicago office. Mr. Sato comes to Masuda Funai from the law firm of Abe, Ikubo & Katayama based in Tokyo, Japan. He is a licensed Japanese attorney and a Certified Public Accountant in Japan, as well as a Solicitor in England and Wales. Mr. Sato further strengthens Masuda Funai's Japanese services team and brings to the Firm strong legal expertise in litigation, intellectual property disputes, restructuring and insolvency matters, and cross-border transactions.
Mr. Sato received an LL.M. in Law, Science & Technology from Stanford Law School in 2020. He holds a Master of Management of Technology degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Innovation Management (Tokyo, Japan) and an LL.B. degree from Keio University (Tokyo, Japan). Mr. Sato is fluent in Japanese and English.
