12.9.25

Masuda Funai held its third Benkyo Kai seminar on Friday, December 5 in Novi, MI. The event welcomed 15 attendees and created an intimate workshop setting that encouraged strong dialogue. The group included a mix of long-standing contacts and several new companies attending for the first time.

Hirokazu Kishinami delivered a clear, well-structured presentation covering current ICE enforcement trends, expat-related incidents, and recent entry denials involving Japanese nationals. His real-world examples highlighted the practical challenges companies face in today’s immigration environment and prompted active discussion among attendees.

The interactive format allowed Hirokazu to address questions with practical, experience-based examples from recent matters. Kathleen Gaber added valuable insight during the introduction and Q and A, reinforcing key points on compliance, timelines, documentation, and strategic planning for expatriates.

Many attendees, including C-suite executives and senior managers, shared that the session clarified their responsibilities within the current immigration landscape. The seminar also drew several first-time attendees from new companies, some of whom expressed interest in continued discussion following the program.
