On January 25, 2019, Sachiyo Yamada Miller, Associate in Masuda Funai’s Employment Group, spoke at the Japan America Society of Southern California’s Risk Management Seminar in Torrance, California. Attendees learned about labor laws and regulations in California, how teams can better work together understanding differences in American and Japanese culture, and participated in a workshop on team management methods in relation to diversity. The JAS – So Cal was founded on February 21, 1909 to build economic, cultural, governmental and personal relationships between the people of Japan and America.
