Monika Oyama Spoke at NAPABA's Annual Convention

On November 9, 2019, Monika Oyama, Principal in Masuda Funai’s Corporate, Finance and Acquisitions Practice Group, attended and spoke at the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Annual Convention in Austin, TX. Monika participated in a panel discussion on “Guardians of the Globe: Working Internationally” with Albert C. Tan, Partner at Hanes & Boone, LLP and Phil F. Shinn, Partner at LimNexus LLP. The panel was hosted jointly by the NAPABA International Law Committee and National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (NAPALSA). The panelists provided insights for individuals considering working abroad or with a foreign company, and tips on how to prepare for an international career.

At the NAPABA Annual Convention, more than 2,000 attendees had the opportunity to network with solo practitioners, large firm lawyers, corporate counsel, legal service and non-profit attorneys, and lawyers serving at all levels of government. The 4-day program included presentations, panels and roundtable discussions focused on current trends impacting the legal industry.
