Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. hosted a welcome reception for the delegation from Osaka, consisting of approximately 12 representatives of Japanese medical device and biotechnology companies. Attendees included executives from World Business Chicago, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kobe City Government, Foundation for Biomedical Research & Innovation, UNEX Corporation, Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Chicago and Northwestern University Medical School.
Colin Hara led the effort to organize the delegation’s visit and was instrumental in bringing together the remarkable group of attendees at the reception, as well as coordinating a visit for the delegation to Northwestern University Medical School. Colin’s success in gathering these executives together showcase the Firm’s strong connections to Japanese companies, as well as local businesses.
Dayne Kono provided a short presentation highlighting the Firm’s new branding, a variety of work the firm has done with medical device and biotechnology companies, and a recent transaction the Firm completed representing a Japanese corporation’s acquisition of a U.S. manufacturer of medical devices.
