On June 6th, Esther Contreras, participated in the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law annual philanthropic event with Share Our Space. The Coalition collected donations to be contributed and volunteers assisted in distributing items to families. The Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law is a nonprofit membership association comprised of law firms, companies, and other organizations in Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C. offices that serves the professional development and networking needs of its members’ women attorneys. Share Our Space's mission is to ensure every child in Chicago has the essentials they need to thrive in the first five years of life. We do this by collecting new and gently used baby items from those with “extras” to spare and distributing them to families living in poverty through a sustainable network of volunteers, community stakeholders, and social service agencies. Share Our Spare was founded in 2011 by Amy Kadens following the birth of her first child.
