On June 3-5, 2019, David Alexander, Principal in Masuda Funai’s Real Estate Practice Group, attended and spoke at the Area Development Consultants Forum 27: Best Practices for Economic Developers in Charlotte, NC. David’s presentation titled “Japanese Foreign Direct Investment in the U.S.” provided insights to nationwide site selection companies and economic development officers on Japanese companies seeking to establish, operate or expand their business in the U.S. David discussed key aspects of Japan’s domestic economy, provided case studies on Japanese investment in the U.S. and reviewed best business practices when doing business with Japanese companies. Attendees had the opportunity to network with leading site consultants and industry experts, and participated in a program of presentations, panels and roundtable discussions focused on the trends influencing corporate site selection and economic development strategy.
