David J. Stein Admitted to Practice Law in Michigan

David J. Stein, a Principal of Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell Ltd., has been formally admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan. Mr. Stein’s admission ceremony was held on February 24, 2020 at the Berrien County Circuit Court in St. Joseph, Michigan with Hon. Jennifer Smith presiding. Mr. Stein’s membership in the State Bar of Michigan is effective as of February 27, 2020.

Mr. Stein is Vice Chair of the firm's Litigation practice group.  He is a business and employment litigator with experience representing clients across a wide variety of industries. His dispute resolution practice includes pre-litigation counseling through trial, in state and federal courts, and in arbitration. An effective advocate who is aggressive when appropriate, Mr. Stein is listed as an Illinois Super Lawyers “Rising Star” and a Leading Lawyers “Emerging Lawyer.”

Mr. Stein is one of an increasing number of Masuda Funai lawyers admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, as part of an initiative to better serve the firm’s substantial client base in the state. Masuda Funai, which has existing offices in Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois, and Los Angeles, California, represents a growing number of clients in Michigan and is an active member of the Japanese business community in metro Detroit.
