CHICAGO - Reinhold Krammer and Thomas McMenamin from Masuda, Funai Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. attended the Alliott Group's 2017 EMEA Regional Conference in Berlin. The business conference started with "New Markets 2017:TECH/DIGITAL" on the morning of 11th May, and brought early/growth stage tech startups, interested in learning how to scale up their businesses through the international marketplace. Keynote speaker Nikita Fahrenholz, CEO of Book A Tiger, explained how he and two other co-founders built the hugely successful online food delivery service Delivery Hero / Lieferheld into an international platform that connects to 200,000+ restaurants in over 30 markets.

The conference then focused on the latest developments and trends in global business, with accountant and lawyer member delegates learning how to become more effective in meeting the needs of clients with multi-market business interests. Approximately 100 leading professional advisers from 54 independent firms in 27 countries participated.

Hosted by Alliott Group, one of the world's leading international associations of independent accounting and law firms in which Masuda Funai is the representative member in U.S. Midwest, the conference took place over four days and enabled attendees to listen to and learn from a range of speakers on business, technical, marketing and firm improvement topics to help their firms and their clients be smarter and more strategic in the way they do business, particularly when business crosses geographic borders.

Thomas McMenamin also attended meetings of the alliance's Corporate Finance and M&A groups which hosted international roundtable discussions on trends in cross-border acquisitions.

James Hickey, Alliott Group's CEO commented: "The EMEA Regional Conference continues to evolve each year and the numbers continue to rise, with attendees also coming from countries outside of the region including Argentina, the USA, Australia and Uruguay. Senior and managing partners and other key partners within member firms who are involved in cross border business clearly view the conference as a must-attend event that will broaden their referral network, add value to their clients' business and support their firms' ongoing development."
