Masuda Funai Elects Two Attorneys as Equity Principals

Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. is pleased to announce the advancement of David J. Alexander and Frank J. Del Barto to Equity Principal effective January 1, 2017. Mr. Alexander and Mr. Del Barto were previously Income Principals with the firm.

"Their legal expertise, experience and dedication have earned them this promotion and we look forward to their continued contributions and success."

Based in the firm's Chicago office, Mr. Alexander joined Masuda Funai in 2008 and is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. He has more than 10 years' experience advising clients in regard to complex real estate transactions, and reviewing, drafting and negotiating all manner of real estate agreements. Mr. Alexander is a Director of the Japan America Society of Chicago, and a member of the American Bar Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute. He earned his J.D. from the IIT-Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University.

Mr. Del Barto joined Masuda Funai's Employment, Labor and Benefits Group in 2011, and he currently serves as Chair of the Group. Mr. Del Barto is located in the firm's Schaumburg office and his practice is focused on counseling company executives, senior and local site managers on a broad range of employment, health and welfare, and retirement plan matters. He also counsels management on employment discrimination, family and medical leave, wage and hour compliance, employee classification concerns, and a variety of litigation risk reduction strategies. He has been selected as an Illinois Rising Star every year since 2011, and received a Distinguished Service Award on behalf of veterans from The John Marshall Law School Alumni Association and the Supreme Court of Illinois. Mr. Del Barto received his LL.M and J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, and his B.A. from The Virginia Military Institute.
