Masuda Funai Elects Three Attorneys as Income Principals

Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. is pleased to announce the promotion of three attorneys to income principal effective January 1, 2014. Frank J. Del Barto, Dooyong Kang and Fazila Vaid were previously Senior Associates with the firm.

Frank Del Barto focuses his practice on employee benefits, including employee discrimination, wage and hour requirements, employee classification issues and risk management strategies. Mr. Del Barto, a former army ranger, assists military veterans pro-bono to appeal their disability compensation claims. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Del Barto worked for 14 years in the insurance industry. He received a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and completed his undergraduate degree at the Virginia Military Institute.

Dooyong Kang is a member of the Business practice group, where he advises foreign and domestic clients on transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, formation and dissolution of U.S. entities, corporate reorganization of existing U.S. entities, complex financing transactions, and sales and distribution related transactions. Fluent in both Korean and Japanese, Mr. Kang attended law school at Loyola University, and holds a B.A. in Economics, and Master's degrees from Columbia University.

A member of the Firm's Immigration practice group, Fazila Vaid assists multinational corporations and business professionals with temporary and permanent residence matters, including a full range of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and PERM applications. Additionally, Ms. Vaid addresses issues related to family-based immigration matters. She earned her J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, and is a graduate of the University of Illinois, with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Spanish. She is fluent in Urdu, Gujarati, and Spanish.
