New Associates Join Masuda Funai

Chicago, IL- Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd is pleased to announce the addition of two new associates, David Alexander and Dooyong Kang. Mr. Alexander, an alumnus of Chicago-Kent College of Law, has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's Real Estate Group. Mr. Kang, an alumnus of Loyola University School of Law, has joined the firm's Business Group.

David Alexander focuses his practice on real estate transactions including the acquisition, financing and disposition of shopping centers, office buildings and residences throughout the Midwest. As an experienced real estate attorney, Mr. Alexander reviews, drafts and negotiates all manner of retail, office, and residential real estate agreements, including, but not limited to, purchase and sale agreements, leases and financing documentation.

Prior to joining Masuda Funai, Mr. Alexander practiced as in-house counsel for a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) that owns and manages community retail centers in the Midwest. He is admitted to practice in Illinois. In 2005, Mr. Alexander received his J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago-Kent College of Law. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2002 with a B.A. in Economics.

Dooyong Kang advises domestic and foreign clients on a wide range of transactional law matters covering general corporate practice and financial transactions. Prior to joining Masuda Funai, Mr. Kang was associated with a mid-size law firm based in New Jersey as an associate attorney at the firm's real estate practice group. He focused on representing commercial lenders in various secured loan transactions.

Mr. Kang is admitted to practice law in Illinois, New Jersey and District of Columbia. In 2003, he received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Besides the law degree, he holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A. 2000), Master of International Affairs (M.I.A. 1998) and Bachelor of Art (B.A. 1995) in Economics, all from Columbia University, New York.
